Tumblr Popularity in World of Sharing up +276%
Tumblr leading the pack in popularity among the movers and shakers in the world of sharing, according to the latest stat from AddThis. It’s popularity is up by +276% followed by 100zakladok, a Russian bookmarking site. Check out the top 10 list of movers and shakers here.
What’s interesting is Tumblr is more popular in France than in the U.S.

Then while there, I stumbled into this comparison between the use of Facebookversus email and Twitter. You can see here that more people share stories on Facebook than via email and Twitter.
Globally, Twitter is not as popular as Facebook. It’s widely used mostly by people in the US.
I noticed that people in Indonesia (heart) Facebook. When I was vacationing there, which was not too long ago, I saw smart phone manufacturers and Blackberry operators have billboard ads like in your face, touting the use of Facebook via their phones. That by itself is very telling…
The world of sharing is still in its infancy, globally. I meant outside the US adaptation of Internet is not as big as it is here. So, we’ll be interesting to see if the tools we see today are going would be the same tools we use years to come.
